Further Research Into Cumulus

Ok, this isn't really research. But, I've found out why Cumulus doesn't record the wind gusts. Infact, it has no problem. This is odd. I looked at the Davis Vantage Vue Console and watched a recent wind gust of "apparently" 16 mph. Nowhere in that wind gust did I see 16 mph. I only saw 15 mph on the display. So, Cumulus IS reading the wind gusts. But, actually the wind gusts are sometimes in between the 2.5 second update. What needs to happen is that Cumulus needs to use the 10 min wind gust from the console. Strange...

I've explained to you several times now how this works. This looks suspiciously like an attempt to restart the 'discussion' we had last night by PM. I'm not having the same discussion again tonight.
Cumulus processes all of the wind gust readings that the console/DLL gives it.
After the recent change I did, Cumulus should now accurately record the daily highest gust figure in agreement with the console, because it also reads that figure from the console periodically. If you have evidence to the contrary, please provide it.
Cumulus does not have access to the 10-minute gust figure from the console (not all stations provide it anyway). A future version of Cumulus may have access to the figure, and may use it. And I have no idea when that might be, as I said last night, several times.

Just added the code to my website.
This is bizarre.
Total Packets Received: 1178
Number Of Packets Missed: 0
Number Of Resynchs: 0
Highest Amount Of Packets Received In A Row: 1178
Number Of CRC Errors: 0
No packets missed and I just recorded a 1 mph lower wind gust, twice?

I was tired of this a long time ago. I have explained this to you a ridiculous number of times now. The only possible explanation now for what you are doing is that you are trolling. It seems the only recourse I have left is to ban you.
If you have evidence that Cumulus is not recording the daily high gust in agreement with the console, please provide it.

I'm not trolling. No, not the daily high wind gust. The current wind gust.

Ok, this is the evidence.

Today's high gust in Cumulus is 28 mph. I can't read the console display - which is today's high gust on there?

No, today's high wind gust is not displayed. I am displaying the 10 min wind gust which is the problem. Today's high wind gust is correct with the console.

William. I do understand that you have personal issues. I do try very hard to make allowances. But it is unfair to expect me (and other forum users) to put up with this kind of thing all the time. I am under a lot of stress at the moment, and your posts do not help.
As I have explained before:
Cumulus can only process wind readings that it actually receives from the console via the Davis DLL. That much is self evident. If Cumulus isn't given every single wind reading, there is absolutely nothing that I can do about that.
Separately from the 'normal' wind readings, Cumulus periodically reads today's highest wind speed from the console in case that figure didn't get passed to it in the normal way. If that figure exceeds the figure that Cumulus had already determined from the 'normal' wind readings, it uses that figure as today's high gust, and for any other high gust figures that it may have broken, e.g. this month etc, but only for those 'high' figures. This means, importantly, that Cumulus should always correctly record the daily/monthly/all-time high gust, regardless of whether that figure arrived via the 'normal' route or via this 'additional' route.
We really do need to draw a line under this now.

Ok, sorry for the inconvienience. I am going to stop now.
