I had to change the batteries in my WH1091 remote station, and this required resetting the base station as well. For reasons I don't understand, the Cumulus 'rainfall since 00:00' shows as -1785.8 . It's possible that because the configuration for annual rainfall was set to 2011 in Cumulus, but the base station was restarted just now, there is a discrepancy. I have reset the Year in Cumulus config to 2014.
How do I fix this odd figure? I'm still running Cumulus v 1.9.1 build 989 (because it never stopped working, no need to update?)

Re: Re-starting FO WH1091 leaves strange rainfall value
It will correct itself eventually. It's complicated to fix manually because it relies on a sensible progression of the total rain count figure from the station. See the FAQ: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#.28Inv ... in_figures

Re: Re-starting FO WH1091 leaves strange rainfall value
It is good that it is working well for you. However there are a lot of changes/additions in newer versions that are very nice, especially for websites, and also makes many improvements yet the program is still as stable as ever, or better. Updating is eeeasy, however it is suggested you backup your data folder just in case something goes wrong. If you do the normal update by installing the new version over the old then your existing settings are not changed so you're ready to go with the new version immediatelyI'm still running Cumulus v 1.9.1 build 989 (because it never stopped working, no need to update?)

Re: Re-starting FO WH1091 leaves strange rainfall value
Just remember that if this is the first time you have updated and have made changes to your HTML template pages then make sure you un-tick the box that tells it to install the HTML templates! The tick box will then remain un-ticked on subsequent updates. If you do the normal update by installing the new version over the old then your existing settings are not changed so you're ready to go with the new version immediately.
Go for it.

Yes, I have updated from previous versions. Right now I don't have time to re-customise my already heavily customised web pages: http://www.deakinwx.com/wx/index.htm

Re: Re-starting FO WH1091 leaves strange rainfall value
By ticking/unticking the option to not update the html files (I can't recall now the exact wording but the install process does give you the option to update/replace or not) your modified template files will not be replaced. Even if they were replaced the update process saves a copy of the former template files, just in case. If you were o update but not update the html files then your menu item at the bottom of those files would not have the link to the Monthly Records pages that are part of he more current versions.
