Can anyone guide me in the right direction? I have a Fine Offset (type) weather station model WH1091, which has been working well for two years. The batteries have started to fail (extreme readings when the outside temperature falls), so I removed them, put in new ones, reconnected the cables, but the base station is not picking up anything from the remote.
I cannot find the "manual" (such as it was) to get the thing working again. The indoor temperature etc is working fine, just no external data (neither in the base station module nor on the PC). I have Easyweather set up on a laptop, and I recall configuring things with it before swapping over to Cumulus.
Advice gratefully received!

I should add that the little red LED comes on when the batteries are inserted, for a few seconds, and theLED flashes breifly every minute (approx.) so I assume it's transmitting.

have you tried powering your base station off and on again by removing and re-inserting the batteries?

Not yet, but that's the next thing I'll try.

Thanks, Phil, that did the trick. I was hoping not to need to do that as it requires resetting everything. But that's better than no readings!

Re: Help! Can't get my FO WH1091 going after battery change
just for further information. when changing the batteries in the transmitter wait until the red led has flashed then you will have about 48 seconds to swap the batteries. this can work most times and there is no need to reset the base station. if your batteries have died totally then this might not work.
as for the manual I am sure there is a copy in the wiki.

Thanks, Bruce, useful information. And the WH1080 manual is in the Wiki, similar enough to the 1091 to be exactly what I needed.
