Problems with the flash realtime gauges
I have installed Cumulus on an Windows server 2003 R2 SP2 (terminal server) and used the same configuration as a friend of mine. Everything seems to work well exept from the realtime gauges on my website. I've used port 8090 to get acsess to the website, and wonder if that can be the cause of why the flash presentation is not working.

Hard to say; a link to your web site would be useful
Have you seen the SteelSeries gauges? Much nicer. https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=21

Re: Problems with the flash realtime gauges
That gives me a '404 not found' error.
But I think you are probably right about the non-standard port being the problem.

Re: Problems with the flash realtime gauges
I've fixed the link, so now it's working again.
The realtime gauges are not working inside the local network either, so I don't think it's only a port problem. Since terminal servers have a different registrypolicy than other servertypes, that may cause a problem, but that is over my knowledge...

The URL for your realtime.txt file gives a 404: http://post.jak.no:8090/JBWeather/realtime.txt

Re: Problems with the flash realtime gauges
Aha!!
I've moved the realtime.txt from \cumulus to \cumulus\web (that is the webfolder) and changed the internet/files-settings in cumulus to the same. Is that all? Now it's giving a result, so only time will show if that was it.
nooo... Can I force Cumulus to Write the realtime.txt to another location, or must I uninstall and reinstall?

Re: Problems with the flash realtime gauges
Cumulus always creates the realtime.txt on your PC in the Cumulus folder, so putting a copy of it somewhere else on your PC does nothing as far as Cumulus is concerned. The copy will never get updated.
By default Cumulus uploads the realtime.txt file to your ftp server into the same directory as the web pages, i.e. the directory that you have configured in the internet settings. If you want it to upload it somewhere else instead, untick 'realtime.txt ftp' (but leave the other two ticked), and create an entry for realtime.txt on the files tab. But note that the flash gauges expect the realtime.txt file to be in the same directory as the CumulusRealtime.swf file, and you can't change that.
Why do you want the file to be uploaded to a different location?

Re: Problems with the flash realtime gauges
I realized that cumulus only updated the realtime.txt in the cumulus folder, so I thought I could change that. But I made a workaround. Moved all webfiles to the Cumulus root folder, and changed the path in iis. Maybe not the best way to do it, as the Whole cumulus folder is visible from the outside, but there is only read accsess to it from the outside, so I will let it be so.
