Cumulus Support

My Web site provider includes with other things MySQL. I'm looking at dipping my feet into this dark area during these winter days and would like suggestions as to what might be a good place to start (Cumulus related) to add value to my site.
I'm currently using only about half my monthly bandwidth.

I'm not a programmer so nothing too complected.
Suggestions would be appreciated.
