Unexpected Missing Data

Hi there,

I have no data between 01/05/2013 00:00 and 13/05/2013 19:45. I was using Cumulus v1.9.2 at the time and didn't change version during that time and I have weather underground data between those dates. I have used the dayfile.txt file and pressed "Create Missing" a few times. But, no data will appear between those dates. Why could this be? Strange.

Thanks,

William

Well, one thing, you won't have any data on 31/04/13, unless you live in an alternate time space (only 30 days in April).

Sounds like a corrupted May13log.txt file for the first 12 days.

That's just a theory though.

Oh jesus! How can I forget that?

I'm not sure how it got corrupted. Cumulus isn't showing any errors because the 'Error' light isn't flashing on the main screen of Cumulus.

Corrupted monthly file won't always show as an error. Also, if you have your date formatted incorrectly in that file it could be an issue.

Just a thought.

Hmm, no the date format is dd/mm/yy in that log file.

This is really bizarre as Cumulus was sending data to Weather Underground between the dates where there is no data from 01/05/2012 00:00 to 13/05/2012 19:45 in the May12log.txt file in Cumulus.
