Records and Main Screen Date Format Cumulus
Hi there,
I read up somewhere that you can change the format of the date on the records and the main screen in Cumulus. I had an idea of changing the windows long date from 26 December 2013 to 26/12/2013 as Cumulus showed 26 December 2013. So, I changed the long date successfully. But, it made no change to the Cumulus records or main screen date format.
Am I thinking wrong or is this possible?
William

William,
For HTML pages you have to use the Format command to get the date as you want it. Here is a sample line from my IndexT.html where I show the current date and time...
<caption> Conditions at <#time format="hh:nn"> <small>(local time)</small> on <#time format="dddd d mmmm yyyy"></caption>
Hope that helps.

Yes, I've already done that on my web pages. I was just wondering if it was possible to change it in Cumulus itself.
Thanks though,
William

I'm guessing it should pick up the settings from Regional Settings in Control Panel. Did you restart Cumulus?William Grimsley wrote:

If you think about it it has to be user configurable as Americans use MM/DD/YY format so it won't be hard-coded.

Re: Records and Main Screen Date Format Cumulus
My reading of the Wiki was that only 'short date format' is required by Cumulus and the long date on the main Cumulus screen is probably hard coded from that - (?)

Re: Records and Main Screen Date Format Cumulus
Well spotted John. It only references Short Dates so any changes to Long Dates in Regional Settings will be ignored.
