Hi Steve:

First of all a "Merry Christmas" to you and all members of the forum.

As the days now get longer by a few seconds every day, I keep a close look on the <#tomorrowdaylength> web tag. Today I noticed that this tag is updated at 4:00 in the afternoon instead of at midnight. I’m in the Pacific time zone (UTC-8), so this would be midnight GMT. I assume this is a (very minor) bug …

It's actually updated by Cumulus once an hour. The library routines that Cumulus uses for all of the astronomical stuff work in UTC, so that's presumably why the value changes at midnight UTC.
