Rain but lack of reading.....

Post by tomcatuk »

Think the rain must be missing my vue today as its done nothing but rain and not much of reading, to wet and dark to get the ladder out and climb up onto the shed roof now hope its just a blockage and nothing more serious....

Update: this morning while it was dry out with the ladder and up onto the shed roof, took the Vue down and found the rain spoon was caked in sediment, so took that out and cleaned it, the rain funnel was blocked again hence the lack of rain reading, took off the temp sensor covers and gave them a clean also had three small spiders drop out Yuk! (don't like spiders) unfortunately I now have a false highest wind reading so will have to edit that.... not sure what is the best way anyone??

Anyway Merry Christmas to everyone...

Edit the log files - Cumulus has built-in editors for dayfile.txt and the high/low ini files. You can reinstate any affected high/low ini files from the the last backup Cumulus took (while Cumulus is stopped).

Hmmmmm... thought I had cured the problem of lack of rain reading with my Vue... been raining most of the morning nothing heavy and it's a little windy (blown most of the empty refuse bins over in the street as collection day today) and only just got a reading in the last 15 minutes or so, so just hope it's not got blocked up again... or something more serious.. :(
Think I'll put it down to the wrong type of rain ;)
