Steve,
On Thursday and Friday my anemometer was broken as you know. On my NOAA report it showed the wind direction from the East. Any idea why? I would have expected it to report North as I have that option set in Cumulus when wind is calm.

Re: NOAA wind direction when no wind reported
Yes, it should put 'dashes', but it doesn't; I can reproduce that here as my test stations have no wind sensor. It will take me a while to work out why it's not working as the Delphi debugger is broken (one of the reasons I'm moving away from Delphi) so I can't step through the code.

Re: NOAA wind direction when no wind reported
It's actually the code which calculates the dominant direction and stores it in dayfile.txt (which is where the NOAA report gets it from). I'll investigate when I can.
If you use the dayfile editor to change the dominant wind direction for those two days from 90 to zero, then the NOAA report will show dashes.
