Hi
I admit to being a newbie keen to get Cumulus working - and it has worked fine for 6 months, This week there was a data error that I tried to correct using the tools (fiddling)
Unfortunately now the data is still in the system - and it still logs data but I cannot see it in any of the graphs, and each restart of the system (I have to shut the pc down most nights as the power is unreliable) the graph starts again
Can anyone help me - I am happy to reload and restart from the data on the station, but as I say it is in fact on the PC - I just cannot see it
Thanks

Re: Data Error
Do you mean that each time you start up, the graphs start from that point?
You say there's a data error, but you can't see it - I don't really understand that.
Does the error light flash when you start up? And if so, does clicking on it show an error with one of the data logs?
If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

Re: Data Error
Hi Steve,
Each time I start up all graphs start from this point - unless I select a graph from before the beginning of December - when they show correctly. All graphs in V/iew G/raphs will initialise from the point I started the application - all previous data whether it scans it from the station - which it does fine of from memory simply do not show.
However if I go and look at the datafiles all the data appears to be there (I am no expert but there are loads of subfolders to Data and backup)
I had a data error that I tried to fix on about the 7th Dec - the wind caused my rain gauge to mis-sread (the device rattled too much) so I tried to delete rows to make a valid amount of rain in the day - about 35mm instead of the read 500mm
What can I do? If I knew how to delete all December's information I could read it again from the weather station memory - i would still then have to correct the error in the rain for the rubbish day - and will this impact the "all time" readings?
Thanks

Re: Data Error
You've changed the date format in the log file to dd/mm/yyyy when it has to be dd/mm/yy:
05/12/2013,15:15,2.2,71,-2.5,9.1,19.5,262,0,48.9,1014.7,1088.4,20.4,43,14.8,-1.6,2.2,0,0,0,0,-3,2,0,270,0
05/12/2013,15:21,2.3,71,-2.4,8.1,16.1,277,0,48.9,1014.8,1088.4,20.3,43,16.1,-1.2,2.3,0,0,0,0,-2.5,1,0,292,0
05/12/13,15:35,3.2,65,-2.8,12.4,17.1,225,0.0,35.8,1015.0,1088.4,20.2,44,17.1,-1.2,3.2,0,0,0.00,0.00,-3.0,0,0.0,225,0.0
05/12/13,15:50,3.1,64,-3.1,8.1,13.8,225,0.0,35.8,1015.3,1088.4,20.0,43,13.8,-0.2,3.1,0,0,0.00,0.00,-1.8,0,0.0,225,0.0
If you stop Cumulus and change the first entries so that they have that format, that will correct that problem.
Deleting entries in the December log has no effect on the rain total. You can use the dayfile.txt editor in Cumulus to correct the total for the 7th, and then restart Cumulus to get the monthly and annual totals corrected.
