A suggestion and a query about Cumulus

Post by RayProudfoot »

Hi Steve,

I have one question and one query about Cumulus. First the question. Is it possible to capture and store the lowest humidity recorded and add it to the all time extremes and monthly data files? There seems little point in capturing the maximum because 100% would occur many times but knowing which was the least humid day would be an interesting fact.

My other point relates to the pressure and how it's displayed. I chose hPa and it's shown to two decimal places. My VP2 only displays it to one decimal place. Inches would be displayed to two decimal places but hPa or millibars should only ever be to one. Is that something you could correct for those that have chosen hPa / millibars?
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

On the Cumulus software interface. I don't have a website at present so the only way for me to see the data Cumulus captures and stores is via the interface.

I'm going to have min/max humidity (along with all the others that are omitted in this version) in Cumulus 2.

I changed Cumulus to display 2dp for pressure in hPa/mb for VP2 stations because I was informed by Davis that they are capable of that level of accuracy, just the console doesn't display it.

Thanks for your reply Steve. I'm amazed the Davis is that accurate.

Actually, I don't believe it is. I think it is accurate to +/- 1 hPa. I should have used the term 'resolution'.
