Weather Station not initialised... help

I use cumulus software to display the weather data from my WH1080 station, and I usually download it ever week to 10 days, after which I usually clear the memory of the station using the easy weather software. Now I've just updated the easy weather software to version 7.7 and now when I clear the data, it asks me to power of the device!!! the only way to do this is to remove the batteries and then go through the whole setting the clock / barometer again :/ the previous version simply cleared the memory. Has anyone else had this problem? When I try to reconnect with Cumulus it says weather station not initiated... help please!

Why do you want to clear the station memory? It's not necessary and can lead to problems.

The only thing I can suggest for the 'station not initialised' problem is to fully reset the station. See also http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#When_I ... ialised.22
