Just installed version 1.9.4 build 1085. I followed the instructions regarding data files and find my high daily rainfall to be 34660mm, hourly 544.2mm, monthly 44255.0. Highest dew 1495.0 °C, lowest -7847.0C. My wind guage wind direction indication is coming from the outer edge instead of the centre and my barometer is scaled from 800Mb to the normal 1040. I am using the Fine Offset 1080 on win7 Ultimate SP1.
Anybody have any idea what I've done wrong.
John

Re: Problems with version 1.9.4
What do you mean when you say "I followed the instructions regarding data files"? Were you not just upgrading from a previous version, in which case you don't need to do anything with the data files, you just install the new version to the same place as the old version.
Which gauge and barometer are you referring to? If you mean the ones on the gauges.htm page on your web site, those look fine to me. The barometer on that page has always had a scale of 800 to 1050, and the wind plot scale is supposed to go from the outside inwards.
If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, and explain exactly what you did, I'll take a look. It would probably also be useful if you zip up your data folder and attach that too.

Re: Problems with version 1.9.4
Hi Steve,
I re-installed the previous version and lost the data files and I didn't want to take the chance this time, although the files were in C:\\ Cumulus I copied them anyway and pasted them to the folder after installation of 1.9.4.
I have attached the 2 files you requested and noted what you said about the barometer and wind speed, on the previous version my barometer on the gauges page went from 920 to 1040mB. I should have said it is the Wind distribution gauge which seems to be wrong and not the wind speed.
Regards
John

Re: Problems with version 1.9.4
Part of the problem is the odd way you did the upgrade, by copying the data but not the cumulus.ini file. So when you ran Cumulus it thought it was starting up for the first time. But the main problem is that you have selected a station type with solar sensors, and your station does not have solar sensors. This is the cause of the ridiculous readings.
I'm not sure what the best way forward is, given that a lot of your data since you installed 1.9.4 will be invalid. If you still have the data from your previous installation, you could start again with that and Cumulus will catch up, but you will have to choose the correct station type, or better still use the original cumulus.ini file, which is what would happen in a normal upgrade. Or, if you select the correct station type now, and then stop Cumulus and replace the data with that from 1.9.3, it might work.
The scale on the barometer on the gauges page supplied with Cumulus has always started at 800. It's a gif image, so it's impossible for it to be otherwise. Perhaps you were using different gauges previously, Mark's SteelSeries gauges possibly?

Re: Problems with version 1.9.4
I've noticed that you have now changed to the correct station type. So if you stop Cumulus and replace the entire contents of the data folder with your saved copy from 1.9.3, it should catch up and carry on OK.

Many thanks Steve, it's all working fine now, I'll try not to cock it up again.
