Hi,
I am wondering of some of you learned folk on here could help me at all please.
I am new to this forum and have been doing a lot of reading but cannot find an answer to my problem.
I have my fine offset weather station attached to my computer by USB cable and shut it down every night.
When I start up in the morning the min temp is showing as 0°C and showing the time that I switched my computer back on.
I have searched to try and fix this problem - is there someway I can overcome this as it used to show the min temp some time back but now no longer.
Regards,
Pete

Re: Min Temp error
You had told Cumulus not to use the station's data logger, so when it started up it had no data to fill in the gaps from when it was last running, so it couldn't do the end of day reset properly.
It appears that you changed this setting yesterday, and as a result when you started it up today, it was able to download the data from the logger and do the daily reset correctly. So I'm assuming that you no longer have this problem now that you have corrected the logger setting?
I notice that you have Cumulus set to log at 1-minute intervals, but the station set to 30-minute intervals. You might want to set the station to log more frequently if you regularly shut down overnight, as otherwise you are losing a lot of information. It's recommended that you set Cumulus and the station to the same interval, thought this is not critical. But you should consider reducing the station's logger interval; even a 10 minute interval, for example, would still give you capacity for over 22 days without downloading to Cumulus, before the station started overwriting data, and would improve your overnight data somewhat.

Re: Min Temp error
Thanks Steve. You are spot on.
I played with a few of the configurations and have got it to show the readings now, but don't know what I done etc.
Anyway it's all working now.
Thanks for the help and I will do the other changes you have suggested.
Thanks again,
Pete
