Satellite images

Hi there,

I have a few very basic web development type question.

I have had no problem setting up the Cumulus SW and setting up a "default" web-site. In
addition to my weather station I receive images from the NOAA satellites. I wanted to display
satellite images on my weather web-site.

I wanted to effectively "add" options to the standard web page navigation bar to take the user
to pages containing my images. I was wondering how i might do this ? I can doctor say the index
page and point to a new page but obviously after an update i lose my modification.

Sorry if this is a bit basic but i'm new to web design and have not really written HTML - more of
a C and VHDL spod.

You need to modify the template files which Cumulus processes (in the 'web' folder) - i.e. indexT.htm etc.

The navigation bar in each template file looks like this:

Just edit those to add your links.

If/when you install a new version of Cumulus, it will overwrite those files, so you should either make copies and replace the new installed versions, or put them in a different folder, turn off uploading of the standard files, and list your new files in the 'files' tab of the internet settings page.
