Trying to move my station onto a new Windows 8.1 64 bit PC.
Have installed a 64 bit driver for the CP210x USB<>Serial driver and Weatherlink sees this and works fine, and Device Manager shows it as well (COM3.)
So I install and fire up my registered copy of Virtual VP and connect, which it appears to do, but then data passes at 100 bytes a second but no logger data is downloaded.
Have looked around for a solution without any luck.
Anyone got any ideas please?

Re: VirtualVP / Windows 8.1 issue
I believe there are issues with VVP and the latest console firmware (what version do you have?) but I've not heard anything specifically to do with Windows 8.1. I have Windows 8.1 on this PC, and a copy of VVP, but my console isn't connected to this PC so I can't try it myself.
If you turn on the VVP diagnostic tracing I might be able to see what's going on, but can't promise anything; it would need to be on start up.

Re: VirtualVP / Windows 8.1 issue
Thanks Steve - I will have a look at that (firmware version, diagnostics etc) when I get home.
The current PC that it's running on is Vista, often crashes and BSODs but then it's always done that running VVP, Cumulus and Weatherlink, but while it's running, it's fine.
The problem happens when I run exactly the same station, software etc on a Windows 8.1 machine.
Driver has installed fine and WL 5.8 will read and download from the console fine, but VVP won't...
Will have a closer look later.
Edit: Console firmware is 1.8

Re: VirtualVP / Windows 8.1 issue
Problem solved.
I had an older version (2.2), but was sure that was the latest available.
Not so! Downloaded the latest and all is well.
