Humidity multipler

Post by MeteoLesOlives »

Hi!

I have a doubt. I use a multipler to 100% of humidity. This multipler is 1.02 (=99.96%), but I don't know if would be good idea use 1.021 (=100.058%). I ask it because my max humidity is 99% and I don't know if cumulus rounds 99.96 to 100 or 99 and, if I use 1.021 as multipler, Would I have problems to exceed 100%?

Thanks! ;)

It truncates (rounds down) the result of applying the calibration settings. If the result is a value higher than 100, it uses 100 instead.

But doesn't the WMR200 have a max reading of 98 rather than 99? That would agree with your max value of 99.96 (98 * 1.02). If so, that's what the 'Use 100% for 98% humidity setting' is for. Or do you have some other reason for wanting to use a multiplier?

Thanks for your quick response :)

Yes, WMR200 also has 98% as max value, but I don't use option "Use 100% for 98% humidity setting" because I think that values are more relative than when uses 100% for 98%.

I know that is the same, but... I don't know, like me more and I can register some 99%
