I have been trying to get CumulusRealtime to work on my site. http://www.forrestblissphoto.com/LowerP ... ltime.html

I can get http://www.forrestblissphoto.com/LowerP ... altime.txt to read correctly and http://www.forrestblissphoto.com/LowerP ... /index.htm works correct.

I have read the help and readme and wikis and searched on this forum and have not been able to figure it out yet.

Any ideas?

Thank You

To avoid getting a cached copy of realtime.txt which doesn't update, the application does the standard trick of adding an unused parameter to the end of the realtime.txt URL, e.g.

http://www.forrestblissphoto.com/LowerP ... =456456456

Your server returns a '403 forbidden' for that URL, so doesn't like the unused parameter.

I don't know if there's anything you can do about this. It's possible that if the realtime.txt had a different file type, the server would be happy. For example, this works:

http://www.forrestblissphoto.com/LowerP ... =898797897

So a work around might be to get Cumulus to generate and upload a file called realtime.htm and use that in the CumulusRealtime.xml file instead. There are some instructions about creating a 'custom' realtime.txt in the wiki - http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Realtime.t ... ng_webtags

You might also want to consider using Mark's SteelSeries gauges instead. They do use the same anti-caching method, but the same method of using a different file extension should work with those also (and is slightly easier to arrange as the file is already supplied, it just needs renaming). And they are better than the Cumulus Silverlight gauges, in my opinion, and are being actively developed.
