I occasionally look at my whosonline just to see who is online.

This evening one person accessing my site had ......php/trackback as the last URL accessed (i.e. /trackback was appended to the URL of one of my web pages).

I've Googled and found a tremendous amount of information on trackback but I haven't read anywhere of what the significance is of the above URL (or, probably more accurately, I'm unable to relate what I have read to it).

I have entered it myself and it produces a relatively unformatted version of the webpage with many images not appearing but some do appear.

So... can anyone explain? And, I guess, more importantly, should I be worried?

It's the same with any random string appended to a PHP URL. It presumably gets ignored by the PHP processor, but then causes relative links to fail, so your images fail to load.

I was more interested in why someone/something has attempted to access one of my webpages appending "trackback" to the URL.
