Hi
The cumulus screen froze eight minutes past midnight today no data was updated to the screen from then, being it is in a remote watch tower it was only noticed this afternoon I asked if there was any error light there was none. I had been monitoring the weather on our site and it appears it updated every 10 minutes with no problems can that happen? And any ideas about why the screen froze?
Thanks

What do you mean by 'froze'? Just not updating, or not responsive?

If you zip up the digs folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

There's no indication in there of any problems at all, as far as the normal running goes. It was still reading and updating the data, and from what you say it was still updating the web site.

The only things I can see that are worthy of mention is that firstly, you haven't taken the recommended step of making the Cumulus logging interval the same as the station logging interval, so when it starts up the station is sending lots of data that it doesn't need.

Secondly, this:

26/10/2013 10:00:00.254 : Error creating NOAA reports: Cannot create file "C:\Cumulus\Reports\0OAA10Ommyy.10:00x10:00". The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect

What do have the format for the NOAA monthly report set to? It's generating an invalid file name. It seems to be trying to include the time, and a colon is an illegal character for a Windows file name.

Hi Steve
thanks for the reply it may seem a silly question but do your comments below refer to the datalogger time not being set to the cumulus internet settings or vise versa ie 10 minutes or is it me not understanding ?

As for the NOAA setting i will have to get back to you when i am on duty next.

You have the station logger set to 30 minutes (I think) and Cumulus set to something else - I can't look at your files right now as I can't handle .rar files on the machine I'm on at the moment. The Cumulus readme and the FAQ explain why this is not a good idea.

Hi Steve
yes you were correct with the datalogger time set to 30 minutes and the station settings to 10 minutes ( i had read somewhere that the default time for the logger update in weatherlink was 10 minutes) and did not check that will teach me never assume anything.
