Cumulus Support

Hi after a huge wait to get our Nci station up and running I set up the vantage pro2 and got it onto the web www.ncirossallpointfleetwood.co.uk/weather on checking this morning I see it has stopped uploading at 03-30 this morning, that is 6hours and 39 mins after starting, being that the station is quite remote. What information would I have to collect so I could post on here to get some help please. I am on duty this afternoon so could get that.

Being I am not there I was wondering if the USB power has been auto disabled I think I have read something about that somewhere? We are using win 7 64bit

It would keep on uploading even if it lost contact with the station - unless you have one of the options set to cause it to restart. It's either crashed/restarted or there's a problem with the connection to the ftp server. If it's still running and it's an ftp problem, you could turn on the ftp log for a while, that may show some errors, if it's still trying to ftp. Otherwise, zip up the diags folder. If the error light is flashing, click on it to see what error(s) it's reporting.

A common reason for web updates stopping at that time of day is that the PC has rebooted to install Windows updates.

thanks for the reply after reading it i telephoned the station to check if the computer was running it was, i asked if the internet connection was ok it was, then i asked if cumulus was running it was not, so i asked them to start it and do a manual update that worked ok whilst the computer has been off for a while today due to a problem one of the monitors it has been updating ok , after your advise i checked the windows auto update install time and that was 03-00 hrs the last cumulus update was 03-39 this computer has been stored in a box for some considerable time and i am guessing that when it went online it downloaded a lot of updates and at the set time installed them and shutdown and restarted. so i have changed the settings hopefully things will be ok. thanks
