where is the barometer module?

Can anyone confirm the location of the barometer in the W-8681-SOLAR?

I suspect that it is in the base station.

Anyhow, my base station has stopped displaying the air pressure and it seems to be a fatal failure.

A factory reset doesn't seem to do anything.

Hi Andrew,

Yes, it's located in the LCD Console (base station). The 8681 Solar may be a little different but it's near the top-centre in the first and third photos of this sticky thread.

Possibly manufactured by Hope in China. You may be able to get a similar module from one of the ebay shops or a China/HK distributor, but I'm not aware of anybody on this forum reporting a successful repair.

Hi Alan,

Thanks for confirming my expectation... I fear I need to cut my losses with this Fine Offset stuff. I've had to purchase a replacement solar panel and now it seems that the base station has failed

There seem to be very few robust weather stations about.
