That is just it, you can't just copy over the file to your website, it has to be parsed by Cumulus to fill in the tags with data.MD3WSP wrote:Tried using the indexT.htm and copied over a few lines of text, then saved this as index.htm and uploaded it, this did not work, so I take it that was wrong!

Re: Website Customizing - Is it Possible...
Ok still not getting it...
I have opened indext.htm and copied over a few details, i.e. the header and the first table and pasted them into a new file created in dreamweaver using the blank CSS template for my website.
I have then saved this back to the PC that is running Culumus and over written the indext.htm that is in the web directory.
So surely this will update once the software uploads its data to my webserver in the UK every 2 min.
But when I try this manually, it still get the page that is displayed on my website.
Sorry, but I do need an idiot's guide....

Re: Website Customizing - Is it Possible...
It does not seem to be changing the information, the original file in the 'web' directory and the uploaded one in the 'weather' directory on the UK webser is exactly the same, line for line, no changes whatsoever.???

Yes, overwriting indexT.htm will work.MD3WSP wrote:I have then saved this back to the PC that is running Culumus and over written the indext.htm that is in the web directory.
Dreamweaver has unhelpfully turned the angle brackets into < and > so Cumulus no longer recognises the web tags. This is mentioned in the help file. You need to turn them back into < and >.

Re: Website Customizing - Is it Possible...
OK, Stuck again.... But at least I am nearly at the end....
Got most of the pages trown into my templates, and looking about 90% there, the tweaking can happen later.
My problem is with the Gauges!
If you check out my site www.manxdesigns.im/weather and look at the gauges link, the top most gauges dont load, can you please let me know what I am missing here...
Thanks again...

Re: Website Customizing - Is it Possible...
OK, Please Ignore my last comment, I sorted it out, basically copied over anything script looking in the original, didn't see the stuff at the bottom as well, copied that over and now working OK...
I do have another question though regarding the Gauges... Is it possible to select a type of Gauge? i.e. I would realy like to see dial gauges for everything, just might be a bit easier to read.
Is this possible????
James

Re: Website Customizing - Is it Possible...
Sorry, not possible. And as the code for the gauges isn't mine and I'm not a javascript expert, it's unlikely that I'll be able to provide anything like that in the near future.

Looks nice, good efforts.
Your Gauges link goes to graphs
I decided to play a little and have some simple pages at my test site here
