On the gauges page the 'Real Wind Data' gauges do not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of flash-Cumulus is uploading/updating the realtime.txt file every 10 seconds - www.forrestblissphoto.com/LowerPinesWeather/index.htm
Enable Realtime", "Enable Realtime FTP" and "Enable realtime.txt" are enabled
How can I fix this?
Also, on the main page of Cumulus on the computer it shows tomorrow as -2min 33sec
Also, how do I make my website 'rapid fire'? as it works on the weather underground?

Re: Real Wind Data Gauges not working
The code which loads realtime.txt creates a unique URL each time using the date and time, so that the realtime.txt file is loaded from the server and not the browser cache, e.g. http://www.forrestblissphoto.com/LowerP ... 1736076857 and your web server returns a '403 forbidden' for that URL. Because of this problem with your web server, you cannot use those Flash gauges. You could look at Mark's SteelSeries gauges, they're much nicer than the default gauges anyway. I believe those gauges do use a similar technique, but there may be a way to configure around it.hrsfoto wrote:On the gauges page the 'Real Wind Data' gauges do not work. And that is incorrect, or what? Please explain. Also, on the main page of Cumulus on the computer it shows tomorrow as -2min 33sec
Sorry, I don't understand. If you are asking how to make your web site pages update dynamically with each upload of the realtime.txt file, then you will need to either create your own web pages to do that, or use one of the existing set of pages created by other users which use Ajax etc. Look at the downloads page (link at the top right of the page). There may be other solutions in the web site development and/or 3rd party tools sections of the forum which haven't made it to the downloads page. Also, how do I make my website 'rapid fire'? as it works on the weather underground?

Re: Real Wind Data Gauges not working
OK. On the realtime gauges, if I try to talk to my server what is it called? the part maybe they could turn on or?
On the 'tomorrow' near the top I guess I dont know what it even means. I thought it meant length of day for tomorrow but it never changes. So, what does it mean? (included a file capture)
Yes, you were correct about what I was asking about 'rapid fire'

Re: Real Wind Data Gauges not working
It's a dummy parameter. You could just quote the URL above and they would be able to tell what the problem is. I think it's unlikely that they would be able to turn it on. It's a bit of a hack, but nearly all servers support it.hrsfoto wrote:OK. On the realtime gauges, if I try to talk to my server what is it called? the part maybe they could turn on or?
It's the difference in day length between today and tomorrow. On the 'tomorrow' near the top I guess I dont know what it even means. I thought it meant length of day for tomorrow but it never changes. So, what does it mean? (included a file capture)
