Hi, I am a new user of the cumulus program. My knowledge is very limited and I desparetely need your help in correcting problems. About a month after the installation the following issues came up.To be specific
1)In Graphs beggining that of 19/09/2013 day the printing of the maximum, minimum, average graphs dont appear, except that of a straight line and triangles up and down of the straight line.
2)In the same sector the graph of rainfall sometimes does not appear i.e that of the 11/10/2013 rainfall where the real rainfall was that of 13.8 mm is shown as 0 rain.
3)In some cases when I shut off my PC the column of my yesterdays data are 0. And finally a question: Every morning opening the program do I have to go to "select a graph" to define the beggining of the date, the time and the end of the day i.e 23:59 ? or there is a better way such as for the program to run more sufficiently? May that be the main cause of all my problems in running the program?

Thanks in advance.Any suggestions will be helpfull to my case.

Angelo

These are all symptoms of the same problem - the end of day rollover is not taking place. This can be caused by allowing the PC to suspend while Cumulus is running, amongst other things. If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

No, you don't have to do that. You only need to set the times and dates on Select-A-Graph if you want to view the graph for a particular period, in Select-A-Graph. This is nothing to do with the normal running of the program.

Actually, I think that's not what's happening. The rollover is taking place, but the data is still at the default values. So I think Cumulus is unable to read data from the station for long periods, or the data it is reading is 'bad'. But the diags files should give some clues.

Hi Steve,

First of all thanks for your replies. I have turned off the "close on suspend option" before the above problems show up. I have only checked the "confirm shutdown" option. Isn't this safer than the other option ?

Thank you

Angelo

I think it's something to do with the time you are closing Cumulus down and the logger interval that you are using. But you are using a version of Cumulus that is five years old! I'm sorry, but I can't support a version of Cumulus that old. You will need to install the latest version; I suspect that you will not hit the same problem with the latest version. If you do still have a problem, I'll look at the diags files from that version.

You say that you are a new user, where did you get such an old version of Cumulus?
