Davis VP1 Temperature Calibration

Morning All,
I seem to be having issues with the Calibration Setting's on my Davis Vantage Pro 1
It seems to be throwing Outdoor Temp's of more than 8 to 10 degree's higher than anything else I am running. I have tried to calibrate it with the mean of everything I have (Don't have an accurate item to give a precise reading) but it keeps chucking out "needs to be with in 12.7degrees of the raw reading", even if I change it by half degree.
This happens only on the Weatherlink software, if I manually do it to the console, this is even more bizarre (with two consoles), I reduce the reading by, say, 10 degree's and press done, it pushes the reading upto to 30 degree. Its reached the stage ill be doing this to it
Obviously it is my imputing skills and the not so clear instructions is failing, if anyone can help and steer me in the right direction, that would be great.
