whats the best way to install cumulus on Ubuntu? any traps

I would like to get rid of xp on my little eee-pc that is my webserver. File server. Media server and of course weather server for fineoffset.
Any one come across any tips or tricks before I wipe it all off?

What are you intending to use - Wine? I think there were problems with USB and Wine, but it seems they may have been resolved now. It's not something I've tried myself; if you have problems, I won't be able to give support.

HI Steve, I tried the later release and all seems ok dual booting, however WINE seems to have a hardware abstraction layer that causes issues with some devices that are ok in straight Ubuntu.
for those with serial devices, USB to serial have been notoriously unreliable over the years as there seems to be some issues around sending CTS / RTS and the USB protocols.
