daily rain from dayfile.txt and Sep13log.txt

I've had my Fine Offset operational for several weeks now and everything appears to be going smoothly. Except for one thing. Every so often the daily rain as given in the dayfile.txt is one tip (0.3mm) greater than the daily rain as given by the log file (currently Sep13log.txt). That is, field 9 in the entry for 23:50hrs on that day.
Any ideas why this might be?
My Cumulus is on 24/7. It was turned off once briefly when the computer needed rebooting but that was a day when there was no rain.
I've scoured the FAQ and found nothing....

Field 9 is the rainrate and 10 the rainfall a assume you log every x minutes if there was no rainrate at the logtime you will see a zero

Perhaps the gauge recorded another tip between 23:50 and midnight on those occasions? The relevant diags file would show this.

Thanks Ron, but I am using the correct field. The first field containing data, the date, is field zero.
Thanks Steve, that was my first thought, but on the three occasions this has happened there has been no rain for several hours either side of the rollover. But I'll have a look at the diags files to try to work out what's going on.

You could also look at the 'total rain counter' in the midnight entry in the Sept log file (compared to the 23:50 value), this is the same item shown in the diags files.
