Twitter only randomly updating

I've had my Cumulus Twitter update set to 10 minutes for the last four hours, and none of them have been rejected.

Posted too soon. Cumulus has stopped again 403 error. Lightning 2000 tweeting happily.
Going to disable Cumulus and try WD and see if that keeps on working.

Twitter works fine over here yesterday I had 10 minutes intervals all tweets were twitted as far as I know, ATM I've set it to 20 minutes and still working fine with Cumulus.

Couldn't get weather display to work either although that's probably due a switch somewhere not set.
If all else fails reboot.
Something odd somewhere. Lightning 2000 carries on working.

You could try 1.9.4; Ron and I are both using that. I have changed the Twitter code in 1.9.4 but only to make sending location data optional. And no-one else seems to be having issues.

Lightning 2000 has now stopped working after a restart of the pc. I give up for now.

Cumulus started working normally after I changed the authentication method to a two stage authentication on twitter. Been working all night.

Maybe nothing to do with it but soon as I did that then re-authorised the app it started working.
The big problem with twitter is there isn't anybody to contact so you can't check what's they're seeing at there end. Too many tweets, rogue application, there server cocking up, sending corrupt data. So trouble shooting you're working with hand tied behind your back.

I don't use that, and I never have. I agree with you about Twitter, though. If I'd known at the start how they were going to keep changing the API I wouldn't have added it to Cumulus in the first place. I don't think they actually want third-party applications to use Twitter. They definitely don't want applications like Cumulus updating Twitter, and I suspect that one day it will get banned.

Dunno if there's an approved app for Twitter that allows sending from a file. If there is there's one solution.

Ceased working again as soon as I re-enabled lightning 2000. Disabled lightning 2000 once more and I'll see what happens.

Still not working removed the tokens to try and force an update.
Moved lightning 2000 onto it's own twitter account.

Ahhh ha.
Looks like the culprit may actually be lightning 2000.
I created another twitter feed put lightning 2000 on that and it worked twice then stopped.

Cumulus I reauthorised yet again on the original twitter feed and it's been working every ten minutes for the last hour. Time will tell if this is just a fluke but it managed all last night albeit every half hour.

Good news. Definitely lightning 2000 that caused the problem. Been tweeting for more than 12 hours. The author of lightning 2000 is baffled it seems to get stuck and then constantly retries tweeting every 30's once it's had a failure. This goes on for hours then suddenly stops and it only tweets on schedule which of course fail since we hit the tweeting limit.
