help with ftp updating !

Post by kinnabalu »

Hi all
For some reason when Cumulus updates my htm files eg index.htm etc the data they contain is erased so that they all contain 0 bytes! If I copy and paste the code into them directly in c panel they are fine until the next update wipes them out again!!
any advice would be much appreciated!
regards
Sean

So the files are being created correctly on your PC, but not being uploaded? Turn on ftp logging, then after an update, attach the ftplog.txt file here, please.

It looks like you've selected active ftp mode for some reason, and the connections are failing, probably due to the way the firewalls between you and the server are configured. Try passive mode - i.e. turn off active mode.
