Using Task Scheduler

Post by KC0WNY »

I am trying to use task Scheduler to start Cumulus at startup, but am getting a Cannot write to C:\Cumulus\Cumulus.ini error, I have permissions all set to read, Write, etc Note: I use Windows 8 Pro, but run Cumulus in Windows 7 mode, also no attributes checked. I have tried using the start folder, and even tried to use the run command in my Registry file. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank You

What is it that is showing the error - is it a Cumulus bug report dialogue? If it is, could you attach the bugreport.txt file, and also zip up the diags folder and attach it.

Are you setting the 'start in' folder correctly?

On my Windows 8 PC, Cumulus runs fine without setting Windows 7 mode, and only one copy starts if I copy the shortcut that the installer creates to the startup folder.

Disregard, I think I got it fixed, I will test for awhile longer. I believe I was trying to start too many instances. Thank You
