Due to a re-wiring of the house there have been several down periods for the computer, though the Davie Vantage Vue console has continued under battery power. However when I now activate Cumulus there is always an error report which has the date and time of my running Cumulus. So this morning for example I exited Cumulus for a minute and then restarted the prog. This is the error log:
25/08/2013 09.46.42 Error on line 2134 of C:\Cumulus\data\Aug13log.txt List index out of bounds (1)
There are altogether 5 lines of this same error.
Whichever day I have tried this on the line number remains the same but the date and time are the moment of starting the prog.
Everything else seems to be working OK except for monthly records which show blank for all indices.
Any thoughts folks?
Cheers

Re: List out of bounds
Stop Cumulus and open Aug13log.txt in a good text editor (e.g. notepad++). Go to the line numbers mentioned and correct the errors, which will be obvious as the lines won't look like the other lines, they will be blank or have garbage characters.
Were they working before? Did you initialise them when you first ran the version of Cumulus which introduced them? Are the records for August not even showing?except for monthly records which show blank for all indices

Many thanks Steve - it was the changing dates that threw me - yes indeed I have located and corrected the erroneous file.steve wrote:Stop Cumulus and open Aug13log.txt in a good text editor (e.g. notepad++). Can't remember when I last checked. Would you care to have a look here if you have a moment - have restarted Cumulus so the graphs won't show much:

Could you clarify 'initialise'. I haven't had the Davis machine running a year yet. I had a Fine Offset before that.
Thanks again for all your help,

Re: List out of bounds
The date and time at the start of the line is the timestamp of the error message, i.e when the message was logged.Meteosat wrote:it was the changing dates that threw me
The release notes for version 1.9.3 gave instructions for the initialising the monthly records. See https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9286Could you clarify 'initialise'.

I see. Perhaps I can do this retrospectively now?steve wrote:The date and time at the start of the line is the timestamp of the error message, i.e when the message was logged.Meteosat wrote:it was the changing dates that threw meThe release notes for version 1.9.3 gave instructions for the initialising the monthly records. EDIT: Yes I have been able to, and all is now functioning correctly
Thank you
