Possible for uploaded info diffrent from cataloged info?

I have a station that is 10 miles from a 1 min resolution TDWRadar. I want to "locally" (in the month file) record my obs where the 1 min avg and 1 min peak wind gust gets recorded. This isn't a problem with a quick change to the .ini file (AvgSpeedMinutes=1 + PeakGustMinutes=1). However, When this data gets uploaded to WU (etc.) the data appears spiky/noisy due to their graphing system and for CWOP this would be bad because it's uploading that minute's observation which is not a representative sample of the current weather. I currently have AvgSpeedMinutes = 2 and PeakGustMinutes=10 and that works very well for both WU and CWOP but not for high density (1-min) observations.

My question is that is there a way to send the data to WU (etc.) as different averages (like I current have) than the "local" monthly file storage settings (ie. 1 min data)?

The only options are to send to WU either the average (whether calculated by Cumulus or read from the station), or (in the case of Davis stations) the 3-second current wind speed. And Cumulus only holds one average. It is an intention of mine to provide multiple different averages simultaneously at some point (as I realise how useful this would be, as in the situation you describe) but I don't know when I'll get around to doing it. I can't think of any way that you could achieve this currently.

Thanks for the quick reply! That's what I thought, though I didn't know for sure. I'll just keep what I have for now but it would be a great addition in the future now that things with very high time resolution like GOES-R (down to 30 sec. resolution) and Phased Array Radar (15 second volume scans) are coming out in the next few years*. :D (*at least here in the US)
