I keep on entering alarm states for the various options but whenever I restart Cumulus or my PC they all set to 'off' and 'zero'
Any ideas please?

Re: Missing alarm status
Do the settings 'take' before you restart Cumulus - are the settings still there if you just close the window and open it again?
Try setting them again, and then copy and paste the [Alarms] section from cumulus.ini. Please also zip up the diags folder and attach it.

Re: Missing alarm status
Computers store numbers in binary - for our decimals (like your -12.1) there is not an exact binary equivalent. Equally for a stored binary number, with bits representing a fraction of one binary unit, conversion back to decimals for display to you appears to generate lots of extra decimal places.

Re: Missing alarm status
Could also be that Cumulus isn't running as Administrator (and can't file to the .ini file due to permissions).
Interested in building your own Weather Station? Maybe check out the WeatherDuino Pro Project Here

Re: Missing alarm status
It's writing the values to cumulus.ini OK, so it's presumably not a permissions problem. I pasted your settings into my cumulus.ini, and the values displayed correctly, and an alarm actually went off. So I'm afraid I have no idea what it is about your system that would stop it reading the values back in again. It's apparently reading other settings correctly.
I do notice that it's using those long decimal values when it displays the values again, and it should round them. I'll fix that, but I don't think that can anything to do with your problem. The edit controls I use on that screen have caused problems on a very few systems, and I've replaced them elsewhere in Cumulus, so I should really do the same with the alarms screen. That might be the problem in your case, but the usual symptoms are that the values can't be entered correctly in the first place, and yours work OK until you restart, so I think it unlikely that's the problem. You didn't answer my question - do the values appear again if you open the settings window before restarting Cumulus?
One thought occurs to me, that there might be a problem in your cumulus.ini file with the settings that it reads before the alarm settings, which might stop it going on to read the alarm settings. I'd need a copy of your cumulus.ini file to investigate that; if there are no passwords in it, you could just zip it and attach it here, otherwise you could send it to me by PM. Normally I would ask people to send a copy with passwords edited out, but I really need the file to be intact in this case.
