Lost Internet connection means lost data.

My Internet connection goes up and down a lot. Sometimes for a couple days. How do I get Cumulus to catch up and upload the data from during the outage. Right now it just starts uploading data from the moment the Internet comes back online. I see ways of modifying ini files to trick it into uploading older data but I have not had good luck with this. I almost want to put a shell around Cumulus to shut it down if a ping to an outside address fails. That would not be a clean thing to do and will probably cause issues.

I'm assuming you're talking about Weather Underground, or a similar site? There's no way that Cumulus can cater for internet outages at the moment, sorry. I may do the required enhancements one day, but it's not a trivial change.

If it is Weather Underground then use this...

I am having to do it on a frequent basis and am somewhat of an expert now (well, in Bulgaria, a "meister" of something is someone who has seen someone else do it once).
Note my comments at the bottom of the page (well, some of them anyway). If you have any questions I will try to answer them.
In my experience, it is the only weather service that caters for belated updating.
Just make sure everything is correct before updating because they have no bulk delete facility (neither do they cater for updating records, only adding new ones) and it is a pain to have to delete even half-an-hour's worth of data records individually (believe me, I have done it).
