cumulus not linking to weather station

Cumulus was connecting to my weather station without a problem for about 3 months, then it stopped without warning. It went about a month without logging any information, then all of a sudden it downloaded all the saved data in the weather station, but then stopped downloading again about a day later. Now it is not working and I would like to figure out why. My computer recognizes that the ambient ws-2080 is connected. Please let me know if you need more information.

It looks like your station needs a reset (remove batteries and USB cable), the memory locations aren't showing expected values:

If you don't want to reset the station, or it doesn't help, you can disable the check on the first bytes of memory by adding a line to the [Station] section of cumulus.ini:

EWdisablecheckinit=1

You may find that you get bad data readings if you do this, though.

By the way, you are using an old version of Cumulus which is no longer supported. It's quite possible that the setting I described above doesn't work in that version.

I updated to the new version of Cumulus and added the line that you suggested and everything is working great! I was worried that I would have to reset my weather station and loose all the data that was in it but I did not have to do any type of reset.
