Yup, that's it exactly.

The error message is immediate:

I am afraid to say that, your realtime gauges are experiencing the same problem that many users of the re-released gauges are suffering.

I have attached two screen shots, First is when accessing Gauge Page for the first time, Second is after refreshing the page after the first access attempt.

I hope this helps Steve.

Great Website by the way Garytx and Thanks for that Humidex Tag help last week.

None of the new gauges pages posted here will work with my "Flock" browser which is based on Firefox. Works OK for me in IE8.
The page loads to 100% and just sits there with the circling blue dots.
Has anybody else seen this problem, perhaps someone using the straight Firefox?

Terry, you're probably getting an error like the others are seeing, but Flock isn't showing it to you. Is there any way to get it show errors?

It's a bit disappointing that this all worked fine before, but now I've paid for the gauges we're getting these errors! It does seem to be browser-dependent. But I don't get them whichever browser I use, which makes tracking it down rather difficult.

I've got a theory to try out.

Could the people that are seeing errors please try my page again:

http://sanday.org.uk/weather/CumulusRealtime.html

You will need to force a refresh of the page (the content has changed very slightly).

Works ok on W2K and Firefox/3.0.9 after a refresh.

Your page appears to load correctly on first attempt, though it takes slightly longer to fully load.

No go for me. I am running a programme called FoxyProxy so I disabled that and got a "Page Error". Cleared the cache and restarted FoxyProxy and back to showing 100% with the rotating blue dots?
I'll have more of a play later.

Maybe this will help?

Thanks all. Looks like a caching problem. I knew there were some issues in this area, and I have to be a bit tricky to get around them.

Assuming this is the fix, attached is a replacement CumulusRealtime.html file. The only difference is that the line which specifes the Silverlight application changes from

Code: Select all

<param name="source" value="CumulusRealtime.xap?v=1.0.0.0"/>
to

Code: Select all

<param name="source" value="CumulusRealtime.xap?v=1.0.0.1"/>
The number doesn't actually matter, it just needs to be different. If you're using the supplied file, upload this one to your site instead. If you've written your own page to host the application, make the above change to your page. Let's hope this is indeed the fix!

It does seem to be a caching issue, so maybe some more experimenting in that area would help. I installed Flock and it works fine for me.
