Silverlight real time gauges available again!
I've fixed a few bugs, but apart from that they're basically the same as before.
Demo here: http://sanday.org.uk/weather/CumulusRealtime.html
Download here: http://www.nybbles.co.uk/downloads/CumulusRealtime.zip
Just unzip and follow the instructions in the readme.txt file.
Please let me know of any problems, and also any suggestions for further development of this. I plan to add a facility for the viewer to select their own units, and for the site owner to select some of the colours for the gauges, background etc. I also hope to add some graphs of some sort.

Re: Silverlight real time gauges available again!
Hi Steve,
I have successfully reinstalled the Silverlight Realtime Graphs and have updated my web pages to include a link to the Realtime Page.
It all appears to be working correctly. You can access the page directly at: [url]http://weeleyweatherstation.info/Cumulu ... e.html[url] or through the website at [http://www.weeleyweatherstation.info]
Regards
Jason

I can view your site fine, so I guess it must be something specific to your computer. You could try re-installing the Silverlight runtime, perhaps?

Re: Silverlight real time gauges available again!
I think this may be because your system uses commas for decimal points, and the data in the realtime.txt file (deliberately) uses full stops. I did wonder if I needed to do anything about this (as I do in Cumulus) but no-one seemed to hit the problem when I released the gauges previously, so I assumed Silverlight handled it.
I can fix it, but I am in the middle of doing some other changes, so I can't release a fixed version just yet.

Thanks for bringing back Silverlight - any chance I can change the "please wait" message to blink in red or some other way to highlight the delay.

Re: Silverlight real time gauges available again!
I did get, and have just replicated the error at your site Steve.
It says 100% (and keeps animating) but that's it. However; a refresh seems to clear it.
Some sort of load problem ?

I get the same problem, everytime I load the page up on a pc other than the server pc. Strange fault really? Cant remember the beta release having this problem?beteljuice wrote:I did get, and have just replicated the error at your site Steve.

I'll see what I can do - how about a little 'please wait' splash screen, a bit like when Cumulus starts?gwheelo wrote:Thanks for bringing back Silverlight - any chance I can change the "please wait" message to blink in red or some other way to highlight the delay.

You're saying that when you first click on the link you get that problem, but then a refresh fixes it? And then if you go away and come back it does it again?beteljuice wrote:I did get, and have just replicated the error at your site Steve.

I can't reproduce that at all. Once you've loaded the application, your browser should cache it for a while, so you shouldn't see very much of the Silverlight animation at all - it's almost instantaneous for me.

Same Browsers - IE 7 Windows XP SP3steve wrote:Do they have different browsers?6719jason wrote:I get the same problem, everytime I load the page up on a pc other than the server pc. Strange fault really? Cant remember the beta release having this problem?
I have also asked a friend to try it on an IE 8 Browser, and he mentioned it having an error on first attempt at access page and then after refreshing, it works. But when he went back later, the same fault occured again.
Hope this helps.
