:) I understand where you're coming from. Mark amazes me (as does Steve and a few others) in that code is like their first language or something...that they actually *think* in code. :shock: Kind of like a good CW (morse code) operator...they don't hear the dots and dashes or even the letters for that matter but rather hear the entire words and sentences. It is really amazing how they can take what appears to me as nonsense writing and create a very useful (and very good) program from it. I personally feel like I've accomplished something great when I figure out which files I need to steal, er...uh, borrow! :oops: I'll just have to settle for connecting "ankle bone to...leg bone..." as it hurts my head too much to think much past that! ;)

Compliments and thanks to all the contributors!

You can add the following code as a replacement for <body>

<body onResize="window.location.href = window.location.href;">

to make scaling work

That what I use on my site

Thanks, Alexey.

I've added that to the html on my dashboard.htm page. It does improve draws on resize, but on a 16:9 aspect monitor the bottom of the page is still cut off, i.e. "Humidity" "UV Index", etc are cut off. Ideally, I'd like to be able to rescale the entire page to fit. I'm running a 24" monitor at 1650x1080. If I resize my browser window to a 4:3 aspect it looks great.

BTW, love your site. One of the few weather pages I've seen that can actually be described as "elegant."

yes , need more improvements for setting sizes ,

what I do on my site is just set sizes in javascript depending on $(window).height() , i.e.

$("#leftcol").height($(window).height() - $("#header").height() - $("#footer").height() - 55);
$("#rightcol").height($(window).height() - $("#header").height() - $("#footer").height() - 55);
$("#centercol").height($(window).height() - $("#header").height() - $("#footer").height() - 55);

you can do something similar , with different ids instead of #leftcol etc ,

ideally of course that should be really done by css not javascript
