Hi,
I'm writing this post on behalf of my non-english speaking friend. He is running his weather page since July 3rd. On 9th July he moved from stardard Cumulus Templates to Weather Eden template from Weather by You (http://www.golubie-kaszuby.cba.pl/index.php ). From that moment there is a problem with "Cumulus standard images" uploading. It looks like "ONLY A FEW" of those pictures are being send to the server by Cumulus. As you can see on the picture (see attachment) some of those pictures have tody's date and some have the date of 9th July.
Also the "moonphase icon" ( file "moon.bmp") is not updating.
When you look at the "..cumulus/web/images/" folder all those pictures have ACTUAL TODAY'S date.
So in my opinion "standard images" era being created by Cumuls regularly before each web upload time but only a few of them is being sent to the server.
Do you have any idea how to fix that?

Re: Cumulus standard images upload problem
If they are being created on the PC it's presumably an ftp problem, so you'll need to turn on ftp logging and look at the ftplog.txt file.

Re: Cumulus standard images upload problem
Hi,
1. Attached you can find ftplog.txt file.
2. I looked at this file and what I can see (I'm an ignorant in this matter) is that there seems to be a problem with the remote destination directory finding.
3. Files that are supposed to be processed by Cumulus and uploaded to the server are:
- wt_data_inc.php (remote name is the same) - I think here everything is OK
- wt_month_inc.php (remote name is the same) - I think here everything is OK
- realtimegaugesT.txt (remote name is realtimegauges.txt) - I think file is not being processed nor uploaded (When you look on the http://www.golubie-kaszuby.cba.pl/gauges_ss.php page you can see that this green light signalling data flow is flashing)
- Cumulus standard images
All those files have "Process?" and "FTP?" boxes checked in Configuration-->Internet-->Files window. In addition, file "realtimegaugesT.txt has "Realtime?" box checked and all remote names are as shown above.
4. Would you be so kind to take a look at the file and tell me what is happening to the above files while uploading?

Re: Cumulus standard images upload problem
Those files are all being uploaded successfully (realtime ftp is separate so that upload doesn't appear in ftplog.txt, but the file is clearly being updated on the web site)pernaczy wrote: 3. Files that are supposed to be processed by Cumulus and uploaded to the server are:

An invalid ftp directory (golubie-kaszuby.cba.pl) has been supplied in the Cumulus configuration:
15:25:11:265 Changing directory to golubie-kaszuby.cba.pl
15:25:11:266 FTP Command: CWD golubie-kaszuby.cba.pl
15:25:11:266 04C78A20 TriggerDataSent 1544
15:25:11:309 FTP Response: 550 Can't change directory to golubie-kaszuby.cba.pl: No such file or directory
15:25:11:309 >|550 Can't change directory to golubie-kaszuby.cba.pl: No such file or directory|
The fact that the subsequent CWD to the images directory works suggests that the ftp directory needs leaving blank.
The first five image files are uploaded and renamed successfully. When Cumulus tells the server to rename the sixth file, the server disconnects the ftp connection, so no more files can be uploaded.Cumulus standard images
15:25:25:303 FTP Command: RNFR raint.pngtmp
15:25:25:304 04C78A20 TriggerDataSent 1544
15:25:25:339 FTP Response: 350 RNFR accepted - file exists, ready for destination
15:25:25:339 >|350 RNFR accepted - file exists, ready for destination|
15:25:25:339 ! HighLevelAsync 0
15:25:25:339 FTP Command: RNTO raint.png
15:25:25:339 04C78A20 TriggerDataSent 1544
15:25:44:242 FTP Session Closed
15:25:44:242 04C78A20 TCustomWSocket.Shutdown 1 1544
The same thing happens each time at the same point, so there is some problem on the server, probably related to that file.

We have tried several combinations with boxes "Host name" and Directory" in Configuration-->Internet-->Site/Options" but no one works. We will have to ask the server admin.
Meanwhile I have an idea that those "standard images" that are not being updated "in normal way" could be sent to the server via Configuration-->Internet-->Files window. Will this work? I know that it should be only temporary solution. The question is: If there are chances for this option to work, can the number of boxes (vertically it is only 10 available) in Configuration-->Internet-->Files window be increased IOT set more files to be uploaded? And if the answer is YES how to do this?
Best Regards,
Piotr

Re: Cumulus standard images upload problem
I'd try deleting all the transferred images (and any associated xxx.pngtmp files) from the server "images" folder first and see if that fixes it before trying the manually configure their transfer.

Not even leaving the directory blank, as I suggested? That has to work, it's effectively the same as you have now, but without showing an error, and that's working OK, apparently.pernaczy wrote:We have tried several combinations with boxes "Host name" and Directory" in Configuration-->Internet-->Site/Options" but no one works. Yes, by editing cumulus.ini. See the help. But it's not going to make any difference, this isn't a Cumulus issue, so the solution is not within Cumulus. You need to sort out the problem with the server. Try deleting the existing files, as Mark suggests.Meanwhile I have an idea that those "standard images" that are not being updated "in normal way" could be sent to the server via Configuration-->Internet-->Files window. Re: Cumulus standard images upload problem
Steve,
Problem has been solved and the reason that caused it occurred to be very prosaic.
My friend had the box "Use active FTP mode" checked in his Configuration-->Internet-->Station/Options window.
As my help for him is "remote" (he is living in other city) I haven't seen his "cumulus on screen".
Sorry for waisting so much of your time.
Best Regards,
Piotr
