Shutdown.exe

Post by Stuart2007 »

Steve

Can I safely use shutdown.exe to close down my PC - will Cumulus respond appropriately or do I risk losing data? I want to do a periodic reboot for other software needs.

I couldn't honestly say, I know very little about shutdown.exe. I guess if you used the "/c" option, and you didn't have the "confirm shutdown" option set in Cumulus, you might be OK.

Hi Stuart.

In the past I often shutdown/restarted my weather station PC (issues with stuck USB port - now resolved)

I just used the normal 'RESTART' function.

With Cumulus in the 'STARTUP Folder' it always reboots fine with no data loss.

When away from home i use TeamViewer to achieve access.
