FIXED! 3:06:20 PM : Error in dayfile.txt on line 49: ''''

Post by MickinMoulden »

Code: Select all

2/07/2013 3:06:20 PM : Error in dayfile.txt on line 49: '''' is not a valid integer value
and in line 49 of my dayfile.log is:

Code: Select all

01/02/11,15.8,315,13:18,27.2,06:45,37.3,12:52,1003.3,16:53,1008.2,08:48,1.2,14:31,0.1,31.3,63.7,10.7,18:21,46,,89,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
In this code you will notice I added (months ago) "46" (for lowest humidity) and "89" (for highest humidity). I added these in as at the time my version of Cumulus didn't do it, and it was leading up to an all time record. It's only become apparent after I've had to fix a spike in the pressure from a few days ago. When I went to "Edit" records in Cumulus, it wouldn't read past this line above and came up with the error.
I hadn't changes anything recently in this line of data, so I don't know what is wrong. It had worked fine and accepted the changes to line 49 (and more) months ago.
The dayfile format (so you don't have to search) is:
Format of the file
00: Date in the form dd/mm/yy (or sometimes dd-mm-yy, the separator can vary and is unimportant)
01: Highest wind gust
02: Bearing of highest wind gust
03: Time of highest wind gust
04: Minimum temperature
05: Time of minimum temperature
06: Maximum temperature
07: Time of maximum temperature
08: Minimum sea level pressure
09: Time of minimum pressure
10: Maximum sea level pressure
11: Time of maximum pressure
12: Maximum rainfall rate
13: Time of maximum rainfall rate
14: Total rainfall for the day
15: Average temperature for the day
16: Total wind run
17: Highest Average Wind Speed
18: Time of Highest Avg. Wind speed
19: Lowest humidity
20: Time of lowest humidity
21: Highest humidity
22: Time of highest humidity
23: Total evapotranspiration
24: Total hours of sunshine
25: High heat index
26: Time of high heat index
27: High apparent temperature
28: Time of high apparent temperature
29: Low apparent temperature
30: Time of low apparent temperature
31: High hourly rain

It could be the missing item between the 46 and 89, but that's unlikely as it would be expecting a time there rather than an integer. If you zip up dayfile.txt and attach it, I'll take a look.

Yes, it's the missing times for the high and low humidity values. The record editor expects them to be there if the values are there, so it can reconstruct the timestamp.

All sorted. Thanks Steve. I just deleted the humidity values and kept the ones that were records AND had a date. Cheers.
