Will Cumulus Work with Downloaded Data?

1) Which Personal Weather Station Networks allow downloading of their user-submitted data ?
2) Will Cumulus permit analysis of downloaded data for one station ?
3) Will Cumulus permit analysis of downloaded data for a collection of stations ?
4) Can Cumulus fetch / call such data directly given a proper URL or geographic location:radius ?
Background
Before purchasing a personal weather station - or deciding if a purchase is even necessary - I'm interested in trying out analysis software and in working with data relevant to the coastal Hancock County (Maine) area - if that is possible.
Thank you very much for any reply.
Kelly

Weather Underground allows you to download data as a comma-delimited file

No, to all of the above. If you wanted to put data into Cumulus you would either have to create data logs in the correct format or update an 'easyweather.dat' file every few seconds and get Cumulus to read it as if it were live data. Cumulus isn't intended to be a general purpose analysis program, it's intended for reading data directly from a weather station.

Thank you Steve for the quick reply.
I've downloaded Cumulus and have been exploring its interface and realized the answer, but appreciate your affirming response.
Nice looking program. Out from the list of Cumulus-compatible stations, are their any decided favorites?
Is there such a general purpose analysis program that is also intended for reading data directly from a personal weather station?
Kind regards,
Kelly

The Davis stations are undoubtedly the best (although the Instromet stations look interesting), but at a price. The Fine Offset stations are by far the most popular with Cumulus users, basically because they are so cheap.
I'm not aware of any software which definitely does what you want, but I guess the one which would be most likely would be Weather Display.

Very good then Steve - I'll look into Weather Display further.
BTW, is this you:
http://www.sanday.org.uk/weather/realtime.htm
RealTime 1.0.0.5 Looks very cool! - NICELY DONE!
Notice that elevation doesn't change when messing around with units change; i.e., Metric to Imperial
Will the other almanac data particular to the station be showing sometime; e.g., sunrise, moonrise, etc.?
Any thought to adding Google's MAP API?
Thank you again for the kind reply.

Yes, that's me. Unfortunately it's unlikely I'll be doing any more work on those gauges, as I'd have to renew my subscription to the component package that it uses, which would cost about £1000 for the first year.
