You saw this before I did, Steve.
I have the Cumulus "Data Logger" and "Restart if Data Stops" options enabled if either of those might be related in some way but I would have expected that all sensor readings would be affected if that were the case.
Probably easiest to see here: http://cheesewhiz.dyndns.org/charts/
I've checked both the Windows event logs and Linux host computer logs at 0302-0303 local time today and there is nothing unusual at all.
Very strange problem intermittent problem. It went, what? almost a week before this happened again?
Weird.

Yes, if it were data from the logger (say you closed Cumulus down overnight) then you might hypothesise that the logger data was incorrectly timestamped (or something like that), but then all the data would be affected. I'm afraid I have no suggestions; it looks like a problem with the station to me.

Yes, if it were build 1080 I'd expect other people to have this same issue, but no one does. Maybe I'll ask Davis about it.
Thanks for looking into this, Steve.

Re: Sudden spikes in Temps around 0400 local time
I am a new Cumulus user and have notice this exact same issue at 4am since I stated using the software a few days ago. I have a VP2 that has been running since 2007 without issues using a different data logger/software combo. I am using a stand-alone PC with only this one program running. It has not shut down or lost power during this time.
Thanks,
Jason

Are you getting Cumulus to set the clock? What does your temperature graph look like around the time of the problem?

Thank you for the response. I do have the sync station clock option set. Here is a screenshot. Yesterday's looks similar.

Re: Sudden spikes in Temps around 0400 local time
As it's not actually a one-off 'spike, and the figures continue at the new level afterwards, then as I said before, that looks like a problem with the station or the sensor. Presumably Cumulus is currently showing the same temperature as the console, at that higher level? What does your console show for today's low temperature? If you stop Cumulus and run Weatherlink, what does that show for the same period from the downloaded logger data?

Re: Sudden spikes in Temps around 0400 local time
I believe you are correct with it being a hardware issue. Even though I have replaced the ISS batteries recently, I was receiving a low battery on station 2 alert. I just change them a few min ago again, the low battery alert has cleared and the graph has jumped back. It is most likely due this battery issue. Hope I this fixed the issue.

Alternative theory - there is another station nearby and your console is hopping between the two ISS transmitters? Try moving your ISS to a different channel.

Re: Sudden spikes in Temps around 0400 local time
That is definitely a possibility. Since I am no longer getting the low battery alert on station 2 and the graph has appeared corrected, I will monitor it and see what happens. I probably should update the firmware if possible also.
