Hello
I have a Tycon TP1080WC and linked to my website http://www.qsl.net/cx6vm/wx/index.htm the WX information from Cumulus.
I noticed a problem in the Rainfall information. Now I have a High Hourly Rainfall = 94,8mm and this is incorrect, didn´t rain here!
Yesterday I deleted all data information and started again with Cumulus from scratch. Today in the morning I noticed rain whe didn´t rain.
At noon I deleted all information and started from scratch again. After 5 hours I can see this High Hourly Rainfall = 94,8mm
Highest Rain Rate 0,0 mm/hr 16:57 on 09 junio
Highest Hourly Rainfall 94,8 mm 17:05 on 09 junio
Highest Daily Rainfall 0,0 mm 09 junio
Longest Dry Period 0 days to ----
Longest Wet Period 0 days to ----
what´s wrong?
thanks!

Re: rain measurement problems
It's quite hard to cater for the odd values of rain counter that Fine Offset stations have a habit of producing. Cumulus does a reasonable job of ignoring invalid changes in the rain total, but it's very hard to do anything sensible for the 'rain last hour' and 'rain last 24 hours' figures. There are 'spike removal' settings for rain rate and rain last hour, on the calibration screen; you may be able to come up with suitable settings.

Re: rain measurement problems
thanks Steve
in the Tycon TP1080WC the data is OK. The incorrect rain is showed only in Cumulus.
thanks,
Jorge

Re: rain measurement problems
The problem is with the rain counter in the station (and/or the rain gauge), not with Cumulus. Have a read through the Fine Offset section of the forum; you'll see lots of posts about invented rainfall, and other problems with Fine Offset stations which you are likely to encounter. Problems which occur even with the supplied software, Easyweather.
