Firmware upgrade

Post by G6GUH »

I have just had my new Vantage Pro2 delivered but it came with version 3 firmware, when I downloaded the 3.12 firmware and tried to run it the com port was not found. I have the USB data logger which is installed as com 10 but the updated only allows up to com 9, device managed shows com 1 to 9 all in use, any ideas . Using win 7 an the silicon labs driver, any ideas?

Two options I think. You can delete one or more of the 'unused' comm ports below 10 and reallocate your VP port, or you can just configure your port to use a lower port number. Windows will warn you tat the port number is already in use by another device, but you can allocate the same port number to multiple devices - just don't try connecting them at the same time.
