List of files to edit?

Hi,
I have a spurious entry in my "Rain today" graph of 380 inches, although the "rainfall rate" graph shows a sensible figure. I've had to edit files before to sort this out, but it's always a bit hit & miss. I wondered if someone with more knowledge of Cumulus than me could give me a list of files to edit in order, so that I can go through the operation in a logical fashion. many thanks in advance for any assistance.

What version of Cumulus are you using? Recent versions attempt to ignore very large increases in rain
total, and as far as I'm aware do a reasonable job of it.
If it's just your graph that's showing the problem, the only file you need to edit is the May log file - May13log.txt on English systems. Stop Cumulus and edit it in a plain text editor, or something like CSVEdit. The format of the file (and some tips on editing) is in the wiki here:
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Monthly_log_files. It's the 'total rainfall today so far' values that you need to edit.

Could you zip up the diags folder and attach it, please, so I can see what happened and possibly improve the spurious rain checking code?

Thanks. You're getting occasional periods of loss of communication between the transmitter and console, including a period of a few minutes around 03:40 this morning. The code in 1.9.3 doesn't check for loss of sensor contact in logger data (so that it can ignore the outdoor data), but I've already changed 1.9.4 to do that.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your explanation, on the strength of your comments, I've downloaded and installed 1.9.4. which is running fine. I thought I would report back in the appropriate area as a typical user, (not a techy), as I'm not a programmer. I must stay that at first viewing all looks good, I note the "extra" data recording.
Regards etc
