Has anybody else suffered massive spikes in wind speeds
I found a gust and wind speed spike in excess of 120 mph also a rain measurement of 2.4 mm at about 04:00 this morning
now i suspect some of the house roof would have disappeared if it was a true reading.
the readings from the station returned to normal almost immediately so it can only be some sort of interference
my question is can a stray radio signal cause the spikes i know it would need to be quite powerful as the station is at the rear of the house or is there some known problem with the station electronics that can cause this.
its the first time this has occurred to this degree

Re: wind spikes
Are you using the spike removal option under Configuration/Calibration? I've found it necessary for my LaCrosse WS2306.

Re: wind spikes
i have not put any values into the wind spike removal it might be an idea though
I do get high winds here as i am right on the coast so i will need to be a little carefull with the values
time to get the calculator out and come up with some sensible figures
The strange bit was the rainfall registered at the same time as far as i can tell there was no rain !!!
