Forecast Picture w/WB v1
My forecast picture never changes using the Weather Blues Template V1. I asked in the forum and got this response. Is there a way Cumulus good update this properly? If I'm doing something incorrect please let me know?
Terry
That is not a Template problem. Your station send to website
the forecast code "-26" which stand for "Exceptional bad"!
I think that the problem is that you're using your station's forecast
instead of Cumulus forecasts. Cumulus seems not to update it's
webtag "forecastnumber" when using other's forecast.
So, Terry, you're at limit of richness for this site... with a Davis!

Re: Forecast Picture w/WB v1
Cumulus always provides the 'Zambretti' forecast number, even if you're using the Davis forecast. And -26 is actually "Exceptional Weather, Stormy, much precipitation", so you probably need to adjust your pressure extremes, as described in the FAQ: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#My_for ... itation.22

Re: Forecast Picture w/WB v1
Cumulus forecast no.
At some point you have changed the units or the threshold (range)
see: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#My_for ... itation.22
Note: your forecast "icon" will be in response to the Cumulus (Zambretti) forecast - NOT anything your Davis console may be saying.

Re: Forecast Picture w/WB v1
Way too 'tight' - why did you change it ?
Rule of thumb ..
950 > 1050 mb
OR
28.05 > 31.01 inHg
The units don't have to be the ones used in the rest of the Cumulus 'system'. These are purely for use by the forecast logic.

At the moment, the code in the page says:
http://www.weathergray.com/weather/images/meteo/8.png
... but there is no image at that location ?

Re: Forecast Picture w/WB v1
You appear to have gone back to Cumulus for the forecast TEXT, this is not necessary, you can keep your Davis forecast TEXT and the Cumulus forecast NUMBER will still be produced for your icon.
These problems were all caused by:

- Messing with the Cumulus forecast settings
Not uploading any forecast icons

Re: Forecast Picture w/WB v1
Thank you I noticed in reading some say they like to tweak the forecast to fine tune it better to their station. What are they doing? That seems interesting. Thanks for the help, Terry
